Steve and Caroline Steve and Caroline

Steve and Caroline started Avon Reflections B&B in June 2009, when their children had 'flown the nest' and after following careers in Project Management and Administration respectively. This has allowed them to combine business experience with their love of entertaining and sharing their beautiful location, to provide the personal touch appreciated by so many guests.

They participate in the active village life of Fladbury, helping to organise the annual village Walkabout weekend in July and enjoying assisting guests with information and support to enhance their stay.

Their son and daughter are also active in the region, one in Pershore and the other in Cheltenham.

Steve provides boat trips for guests on his Cruiser 'Betty Boo' and as a qualified Bell Boat Helm, he is able to offer a 'Bell Boat' experience for visiting groups (all age ranges), by arrangement with the local inventors. Bell boating provides a very safe introduction to paddle sports and is used locally and nationally by schools and activity groups as an educational experience.

Having a long association with Mufulira in Zambia, Steve and Caroline have also initiated a number of school and community links in Pershore and surrounding villages, with counterparts in Ndola, on the Zambian Copperbelt. They have also set up IntroZambia (with Laura Tilling in Somerset), offering annual ethical holidays for individuals and groups wishing to find out first hand about life in the towns and villages of a developing country. As a direct result of these activities, a good many people in the communities around Pershore and Ndola have been brought closer together and Pershore High School continues to run an annual pupil exchange programme. Steve also runs Class Resource, a small business creating educational resources for UK schools and is a Trustee of UKOWLA (The UK One World Linking Association).
